Regina Theissl Pokorná (née ''Pokorná''; born 18 January 1982) is a Slovak-Austrian chess Woman Grandmaster (WGM). == Chess career == Pokorná was trained by Grandmaster Ján Plachetka. Pokorná won the Slovak Under-18 Girls' Chess Championship in 1996, 1997 and 1999.〔Big Database 2013, ChessBase GmbH〕 She scored 10/13 to win the European Junior Girls' Chess Championship in Patras, Greece in 1999.〔 She also played in the FIDE Women's Chess World Cup in 2000. Pokorná has represented Slovakia in eight Chess Olympiads between 1998 and 2012.
